SHRD employs 73 job seekers during January and February March 01, 2021 / 12:15 PM

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to employ 1000 citizens during the current year 2021 in the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, with a budget of 300 million dirhams.
The Sharjah Human Resources Directorate’s (SHRD) coordinates and cooperates with all government departments, agencies and institutions in the emirate, to find out their needs for national human cadres, according to the jobs available to it within its strategic plans and programmes, and the required qualifications to fill them with organising remote job interviews for job candidates.
His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, member of the Sharjah Executive Council, affirmed the keenness of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to launch initiatives, directives and decisions in support of the employment of Emirati cadres and enhance their competitive capabilities to enter the labor market according to institutional plans and strategies.
He pointed out that the opening of new projects and branches of some government agencies in various cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as the opening of many fields for some branches of government agencies in the emirate, contributes to the employment of national competencies registered in the database of the Human Resources Department.
He explained that the department provided virtual job interviews through the webex programme, to facilitate the process of conducting job interviews for government agencies and job seekers, in line with the series of preventive and precautionary measures adopted in the country to confront the Coronavirus.
The remote interviews take place with the same procedures of direct interviews followed in the department, but the difference is in the nature of attendance and the mechanism of communication between the two parties to the interview, as job seekers registered in the department's database are nominated according to the requirements and conditions of employment in terms of academic qualifications, financial degrees, and job specializations, and to ensure that they comply with the required terms and specifications.
As a result of the job interviews, (73) male and female job seekers were appointed in government departments in the Emirate of Sharjah, and (5) were appointed to the temporary contract “A”, confirming that communication and coordination with various other government agencies was underway to determine job interview days according to their job needs until the end of the 2021.
He explained that the department informs the candidates about the dates of the interviews by text messages (SMS), and the virtual job interviews take place through the interview committee approved by the government entity requesting the job and in the presence of a representative from the SHRD.
With regard to social and humanitarian cases, His Excellency explained that, based on the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah aimed at achieving the requirements of social development and community development, their cases are studied according to the lists received from the competent authorities represented by the Statistics Department, the Social Services Department, and an Mabarah office.
